GEMMACON is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer - BIW Joining and Sealing to join our Body Structures team. In this role, you will lead the development and optimization of body-in-white (BIW) joining and sealing processes, ensuring structural integrity, durability, and manufacturability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate advanced joining techniques and innovative sealing solutions that enhance vehicle performance and quality.   This position offers the opportunity to work with the top automotive brands in the world.

- Develop and implement joining and sealing strategies for BIW structures, ensuring optimal strength, durability, and manufacturability.   - Collaborate with design, materials, and manufacturing teams to optimize joining techniques, including welding, adhesives, and mechanical fasteners.   - Validate sealing methods to improve vehicle performance, NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness), and water management.   - Conduct technical analysis, testing, and validation of BIW joining and sealing processes.   - Work closely with suppliers to integrate innovative materials and joining technologies into Lucid’s vehicle lineup.   - Stay updated with industry advancements and implement best practices in BIW joining and sealing processes.  

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.   - 8 years of experience in BIW joining and sealing within the automotive industry.   - Strong knowledge of welding, adhesive bonding, mechanical fastening, and sealing technologies.   - Hands-on experience with CAE tools, validation methodologies, and structural analysis.   - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to drive continuous improvement.
