GEMMACON is seeking a skilled Engineer - BIW Joining and Sealing to join our Body Structures team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing body-in-white (BIW) joining and sealing processes to ensure structural integrity, durability, and performance. You will work with cross-functional teams to integrate advanced joining techniques and innovative sealing solutions, contributing to GEMMACON’s commitment to high-quality automotive engineering.   This position offers the opportunity to work with the top automotive brands in the world.

- Develop and implement BIW joining and sealing processes that meet structural and performance requirements.   - Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and materials teams to optimize joining techniques such as welding, adhesives, and mechanical fasteners.   - Evaluate and validate sealing methods to enhance durability and NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) performance.   - Conduct testing and analysis of joining and sealing methods, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.   - Work with suppliers and partners to integrate new materials and advanced joining technologies.   - Stay up to date with industry advancements and incorporate best practices into Lucid’s BIW strategy.  

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.   - 7 years of experience in BIW joining and sealing within the automotive industry.   - Strong knowledge of welding, adhesive bonding, and mechanical fastening techniques.   - Experience with CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) tools and testing methodologies.   - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to drive process improvements.
