GEMMACON is seeking a highly skilled Design Release Engineer (DRE) to join our Seating & Restraints team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and release of restraint and safety electronic systems, ensuring compliance with performance, safety, and quality standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and integrate advanced safety technologies into GEMMACON’s vehicle lineup.   This position offers the opportunity to work with the top automotive brands in the world.

- Lead the design, development, and release of restraint and safety electronic systems for Lucid vehicles.   - Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing, and validation teams to ensure seamless integration and performance optimization.   - Define and manage component specifications, design validation plans, and test procedures.   - Conduct design reviews and analyze test data to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal safety requirements.   - Support issue resolution during prototype builds, validation, and production ramp-up.   - Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in automotive safety systems.  

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.   - 7 years of experience in restraint systems, safety electronics, or related automotive engineering fields.   - Strong knowledge of vehicle safety standards, crash testing, and regulatory compliance.   - Proficiency in CAD software and experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, and other validation tools.   - Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
